Korean Language Students Participate in LG Day

Brown students, for the first time, invited to LG Day!

LG is a Korean company with its headquarters in Seoul and a branch office in New Jersey. This event, called LG Day, was an opportunity for Brown students to visit the LG campus and get a glimpse into the corporate culture of a Korean company operating in the US.

For the past three years, they've been inviting students from New England schools to their New Jersey campus, giving them a tour and introducing the company through meetings with employees, research leads, and HR staff.

This year, Brown students were invited for the first time, and Professor Hye-Sook Wang worked with LG's Communications Team Leader to make it happen. Ten students—including those enrolled in Korean language courses and members of the Korean International Students Association (KISA)—participated. Students interested in learning more about Korean corporate culture and internship opportunities were able to gain valuable insight!
